What is the PGDip in Sleep Medicine?

  • The PGDip in Sleep Medicine is an online, part time, two-year taught post-graduate diploma programme.
  • All students attend an in-person, one-week residential school at the University of Oxford.
  • It is hosted by the Sleep and Circadian Neuroscience Institute (SCNi), in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, at the University of Oxford.

What is the structure of the course?

  • The PGDip consists of eight core modules taken over two years, four in each year.
  • Students who complete the PGDip can apply to convert to the MSc for a further third year of study, in which they would complete two research modules and the dissertation.

How is the course delivered?

  • The course is taught almost entirely online
  • Weekly recorded lectures from experts in the field
  • Live online weekly discussion groups at 12pm or 7pm UK time
  • Academic support via 1:1 meetings with a course academic advisor
  • Pastoral support via departmental systems
