PGDip in Sleep Medicine
What is the PGDip in Sleep Medicine?
- The PGDip in Sleep Medicine is an online, part time, two-year taught post-graduate diploma programme.
- All students attend an in-person, one-week residential school at the University of Oxford.
- It is hosted by the Sleep and Circadian Neuroscience Institute (SCNi), in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, at the University of Oxford.
What is the structure of the course?
- The PGDip consists of eight core modules taken over two years, four in each year.
- Students who complete the PGDip can apply to convert to the MSc for a further third year of study, in which they would complete two research modules and the dissertation.
How is the course delivered?
- The course is taught almost entirely online
- Weekly recorded lectures from experts in the field
- Live online weekly discussion groups at 12pm or 7pm UK time
- Academic support via 1:1 meetings with a course academic advisor
- Pastoral support via departmental systems
- Comprehensive induction programme
