Residential School
Residential school
- All MSc/PGDip students attend a one-week Residential School in Oxford once during their course, usually in the first week of September.
- The Residential School is a fantastic opportunity for students to network with each other, their course tutors, and world-leading experts in sleep science.
- Teaching at the residential school focuses on practical elements of the Sleep Medicine course, including lived-experience sessions as well as industry engagement.
- We hold an annual Gala Dinner at a University of Oxford College as part of our Residential School programme.
- The Oxford Online Programme in Sleep Medicine contributes towards the cost of the Residential School up to a maximum of £1,000. Costs that are covered are travel at economy rates and basic accommodation (the programme normally arranges accommodation at Somerville College for students).
'One of the most memorable aspects was the residential school experience, which transformed our online connections into genuine friendships. Despite meeting primarily online, we felt like a cohesive group during the in-person sessions, further emphasizing the sense of community the program fosters. Even after completing the course, we’ve stayed connected, supporting each other professionally and meeting at conferences. It’s inspiring to know there’s a network of people passionate about Sleep Medicine.'
