It is mandatory for our MSc/PGDip students to attend our one-week Residential School in person in Oxford.

General Information

The MSc/PGDip in Sleep Medicine Residential School is usually held at Somerville College. Students are expected to attend at the end of their first year of study, usually in the first week of September.

The Residential School is a fantastic opportunity for students to meet each other, their course tutors, and world-leading experts in sleep science. It allows time to socialise with peers, share ideas, and engage in some of the more practical elements of the Sleep Medicine course. We hold an annual Gala Dinner in an Oxford College as part of our Residential School programme.

The Oxford Online Programme in Sleep Medicine contributes towards the cost of the Residential School up to a maximum of £1,000. Costs that are covered are:

  • Travel at economy rates
  • Basic Accommodation: the programme normally arranges accommodation at Somerville but this is not compulsory
