SLEEP MEDICINE ALUMNI DAY
As part of our annual Residential School, we will host a full Alumni Day event on Friday 6th September 2024 at the Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin Building in Oxford.
There will also be the option to join us for a drinks reception and gala dinner the evening before, Thursday 5th September 2024, at Somerville College, Oxford.
This event will allow alumni to network with current students, faculty and fellow alumni, and reflect on their time as a Sleep Medicine student at the University of Oxford.
Oral presentations/Posters
Alumni are encouraged to submit an abstract for presentation at the Alumni Day. This could be based on current or previous research work they have undertaken (including, but not limited to, their MSc dissertation), a sleep-related service they have developed, or another example or summary of how they have used the knowledge and skills they gained during their studies in their existing practice. The topic is entirely up to them, but we are keen to showcase how completion of the MSc/PGDip in Sleep Medicine has been of benefit to their professional development.
Three abstracts will be selected to give an oral presentation, with a further seven selected to present a poster. The deadline for abstract submission is 19th July. Please e-mail your abstract (maximum 250 words) to sleepmedicine@ndcn.ox.ac.uk by this date. The three successful oral presentation speakers will receive a travel grant of £250.
Costs
The cost of the drinks reception is £20.
The cost of the gala dinner is £70.
The cost of the Alumni Day (including lunch) is £30.
Bookings
Please note that the number of available places is limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Whilst abstract submission is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged, and priority will be given to those who submit an abstract for consideration. Please email sleepmedicine@ndcn.ox.ac.uk for the booking link.
